About the event
Simbang Gabi is a tradition of celebrating Christmas novena masses in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Its masses were celebrated at dawn, the time when roosters crow, hence calling the celebration Misa de Gallo (rooster). Filipinos have been faithful in observing the tradition for centuries.
Here at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, we will celebrate this beautiful tradition on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023 with a mass at 6pm and followed immediately by a reception that will showcase Filipino hospitality with food, talents, games and fun for the entire family
Mass starts promptly at 6pm and will be followed immediately by a ticketed reception in the PLC.
Registration fee for guests 7 years and older is $8. Kids younger 6 years and under are free of charge.
